Who: Kevin Ford
With: Keila Blum
Where: By Breakstone Lake
The temperature had turned cold making for a chilly morning with a even chillier wind coming off the lake. It wasn’t cold enough to freeze yet so Kevin watched the wind cause small rifts in the water from where he sat at the end of the dock. His face being the only part of him not currently covered with clothing and only a bit covered by the hood of his trench coat was a slightly red from his time in the cold. It was peaceful being out here alone with a lot of kids around. With the temperatures changing a lot had chosen to stay inside when they could. That meant his usual routine of working on his art or just generally staying inside was more crowded than usual. Even the wifi was feeling the drain as trying to game on the school’s wifi was too lagging to get anything done.
This wasn’t his first time at the lake, so unlike Keila he wasn’t really taking in the sights. Besides when you see everything as decayed you don’t really notice things the same way others do. The boy was mainly here for the moment of peace while he lazily watched the waves hit a small invisible barrier in the water that caused them to loop up and fall back to the lake. He first felt the vibrations in the dock before he heard the girls soft footsteps on the wood. This time when the waves came forward there was no invisible barrier stopping them.
The young brown haired mutant looked over his shoulder with green eyes to see who it was before speaking. “First time out here?” He’d seen the girl around school, but hadn’t officially met her yet. She was one of the many new kids they’ve recently gotten in.
